A PASSION FOR DESIGN Ivy Watch Co. was started in 2016 by a group of friends who share a passion for design and watches. The company grew from the frustration over not being able to find well designed, quality sports watches at affordable prices. We draw inspiration from classic, “mid century”, Swiss sports watches and carefully select design elements from that era and mix it with contemporary features. The result is a line of watches that pays homage to the greats while still being undeniably modern. A TRIBUTE TO BEING DIFFERENT The name Ivy Watch Co. comes from our fascination with the mindset and aesthetics of Ivy League students in the 1960s. The era represented a break from tradition and conformity. Students chose not to be bound by social conventions and expressed their relaxed and almost nonchalant attitude with their attire, for example wearing button down shirts un-tucked, penny loafers without socks and trousers cut into shorts. Their style became a statement and a way to introduce an element of the subversive. QUALITY YOU CAN AFFORD We want to offer great looking watches of uncompromising quality with that classic look and feel, but at an attainable price. In short, timeless, affordable watches that last. That quality statement is for example evident in that all our watches come with scratch resistant, sapphire crystal and 10 ATM/100 m water resistance (which means you can use it in the shower or when swimming). Also, all our leather straps are made from the finest organic leather from Tärnsjö Tannery in Sweden. Our watches are made to be used and will only look better with time.
