7S Society
www.7ssociety.comThe 7 Summit Society, 7S Society for short, is inspired by the grit and determination of Junko Tabei, one of the world’s most pioneering alpine explorers. As a young woman in Japan, she was refused access to the men’s alpine club because “she was clearly just looking for a husband.” Undaunted, she formed the Ladies’ Climbing Club with the motto “let’s go overseas by ourselves,” and she did. In 1975, with the support of her Women’s Everest Expedition, she became the first woman to summit Mt. Everest. But she didn’t stop with that achievement. In addition to raising a family and completing a degree in environmental studies, Tabei continued to climb. In 1992, on the summit of Puncak Jaya, she became the first woman to complete the Seven Summits, one of mountaineering’s most prestigious accomplishments. We honor her vision, her grit, and her belief that where you came from matters less than where you are going. The 7S Society believes in the following key values: 1) Collaboration, not competition 2) Mentorship and support are vital to removing obstacles and fast-tracking success 3) Culture is critical 4) Start now, course correct as needed We're gathering to inspire, share knowledge, and thrive together to build a better future for veterinary practice ownership. You have the ability to help us change the perception of practice ownership. It is financially attainable. It can happen with work-life balance. It can be on your own terms. And, hey, why stop at just one practice? After all, this is the 7 Summit Society. Don’t climb a mountain. Climb all of the mountains.
