Regional hunger resolution organization created in Westchester County, NY, to grow and gather fresh food for donation to local food pantries. Food is grown in 3 gardens and collected from local farmers markets and special events. The organization is funded by grants and individual donations and all work is done by local volunteers who plant, tend, harvest, collect and deliver the fresh produce. In 2 years of operation, the organization has donated more than 7 tons of fresh produce to area food pantries. Over 400 area residents have volunteered with the organization, including individuals, groups, sports clubs, companies and civic organizations.
