How did Firefly HR get started? Firefly HR was thought up in Sydney by Barbara. Barbara has worked as a primary teacher and fell into the Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) sector approximately 10 years ago and has loved it ever since. The OSHC sector is an often forgotten about work force, yet vitally important to children and is a growing industry. Barbara is passionate at encouraging other quality Educators into the OSHC sector to help make a positive difference to children’s lives. As a child, Barbara still remembers that one teacher that made a difference. This teacher showed compassion in a time that was really needed and it was from then on that Barbara changed her life direction. Without this teacher, Barbara would not be where she is today.
