Victorias Milling Company, Inc. (VMC) is a Philippines-based enterprise engaged primarily in sugar manufacturing. Since its founding in 1919, the company has weathered wars and regional crises, becoming one of the largest sugar operations in the world. The company has since diversified, and formed Victorias Foods Corporation, Canetown Development Corporation, Victoria's Golf & Country Club, Inc., Victorias Agricultural Land Corporation, Victorias Industrial Gases Corporation, and Victorias Green Energy Corporation. Through these subsidiaries, VMC continues to practice its expertise in the areas of food processing, leisure, real estate, and energy generation. The company, through its diverse business portfolio, continues to contribute to the economy as it Nourishes, Powers, and Fuels the lives of the Filipino people. Victorias Milling Company, Inc. (VMC) is one of the biggest producers of raw and refined sugar in the Philippines. It currently holds the biggest share of refined sugar production in the province of Negros, and in the rest of the country as well. These amount to a 23.73% and 12.63% market share, respectively. (Based on 2014 figures) VMC’s sugar operations consist of two-mill tandems with a combined rated grinding capacity of 15,000 tonnes of cane daily. One is the VMC Walkers Mill or the “A” Mill, designed by Walkers Limited of Australia. It has a grinding capacity of 10,000 tonnes of sugarcane per day. The other one is called the “C” Mill, designed by Farell Company of Hawaii. This one has a daily grinding capacity 5,000 tonnes of sugarcane. Along with all these, VMC also has a Raw House capable of processing 15,000 TCM daily and a Refinery capable of producing 25,000 to 27,000 50-kg bags of refined sugar daily. The Core Sampling System, a technology that reflects the true quality of each cane sample and eliminates the inadequacies of old systems, complements the factory.
