Szentendre is a dominant center of Hungarian modern and contemporary art. This position is the professional foundation of the Ferenczy Museum Center’s mission. Besides our literary, ethnographic, historic, and archaeological activities of a regional scope, true to Szentendre’s traditions, our fine arts collection holds has items from all over the country, and the related events have international reference. The Ferenczy Museum Center runs a scientific workshop that allows not only conceptual, schematized research, but it also coordinates them vocationally. It registers data gained from research in various disciplines based on the Hungarian Scientific Academy’s standards and publishes them (online and in print) in the museum annals.
