Românul Corp. is a non-profit organization that strives to support the Romanian community from North-Eastern the United States as it integrates into the American society, while still preserving its national, cultural, and spiritual values. The basic goals of the Organization are, as follows: - Facilitating the economical and social integration of newly-arrived Romanian immigrants in the American society; - Promoting the social integration of all members of the Romanian community in the American society; - Organizing the training sessions, seminaries, information resources, as well as social and cultural activities; - Cooperating with local authorities in promoting the community's interests; - Stimulating partnerships with other American associations and communities; - Promoting the Romanian community's social and economical development; - Encouraging intracommunitary dialogue, and the active support of the community in the professional, artistic, cultural, and economical domains; - Initiating and implementing the community's projects, recreational activities, social activities, and language classes; - Promoting Romanian music, folklore, and arts; - Sustaining projects that target the development and integration of specialized groups, such as women, youth, children, or businessman; - Implementing research activities, surveys, and analyses that would reveal the issues that the members of the community are confronting; - Organizing philanthropic activities.
