El Pasoans Fighting Hunger is El Paso's only Food Bank. EPFHFB grew with 132 partner agencies and to just over 500 Client Choice pantries that have served 138,000 people in El Paso, Culberson, and Hudspeth Counties. As EPFHFB continues to analyze the needs of the community, EPFHFB has served over 120,000 individuals in the first half of 2021. In 2019, we distributed 32.5 million pounds of food, in 2020 we grew to 139.7 million pounds of distributed food. The first six months of 2021, the distribution of food increased to 81 million pounds in the first six months and is expected to exceed last year’s distribution. This need will continue through the rest of 2021 and into 2022 as we continue to fight the surge of the pandemic, and its lingering effects on our economy.
