Mainstreet is a private business organization, which is social, fraternal, educational and benevolent in nature. Our primary concerns are the well-being and viability of its membership, economic development, and business productivity in general. The primary purpose of Mainstreet is twofold. First to support its membership, providing knowledge through educational seminars, marketing processes, networking activities, and advertising opportunities. Mainstreet advises and assists in developing markets for its business members. Secondly, Mainstreet strives to provide internships and other training opportunities through grants and other financing, to disadvantaged young adults, high school and college students, battered and abused women, and separating military personnel who may need specialized training for transition back to civilian life. Mainstreet also provides job placement opportunities for personnel in the above categories.
