UGoveRN stands for Urban Governance Research Network and is an academic platform to build, share and communicate research activities in the field of urban governance and planning. The platform was initiated by Prof. Dr. Tuna Tasan-Kok within the framework of her Chair of Urban Governance and Planning at the University of Amsterdam, and is supported by a Centre for Urban Studies’ Seed Grant XL. The main aim of UGoveRN is to connect academics, practitioners and communities who work in the field of urban governance to create an interactive platform to discuss and collaborate on research. UGoveRN members each belong to a research chapter, named after the research fields in which UGoveRN members publish and collaborate. The current chapters of UGoveRN are Planning+Property, Law+Policy, and Space+Society. Each chapter develops independent annual programming, including academic events, webinars, podcasts, joint research proposals and joint publications.
