Coronado Investment Advisors, LLC ("CIA") is a registered investment advisory firm based in Coronado, California. CIA began its operations in March 2016 with the primary goal of using scientific reasoning paired with active investment decision-making to help those clients utilizing CIA’s central strategies achieve positive portfolio returns over periods of greater than one year, regardless of market environment. CIA’s has secondary and tertiary goals of providing customized investment management for those with highly specific goals and/or constraints, as well as offering simple, low cost investment solutions for those wanting a less-active and very basic approach, respectively. Using Bayesian inferential techniques, as well as methods developed by the firm's Chief Investment Officer over a period of two decades, CIA applies both active individual security (e.g., stock) selection and active asset allocation to portfolio decisions in an effort to place portfolios along the growth path of least resistance, as well as to generate excess returns and to manage portfolio market risk. Based on evidence, CIA holds the view that much of the price movement of financial markets is predicable given the right market philosophy and corresponding prediction methodologies. Recognizing that investor tolerance for risk can vary greatly from client to client and over time by client, CIA offers active investment and trading strategies ranging from the very conservative to the highly aggressive. In addition to its central active strategies, CIA also offers a range of customized portfolio management solutions, as well as less active and low-cost basic strategies.
