Independent College Counselor, Eric Delehoy, strives to help students and their families navigate the college search and application process. His philosophy working with students is not solely about “getting in” to colleges, rather it is about helping students better understand themselves, and ultimately, which colleges best fit their academic and personal needs. Eric Delehoy is a college veteran, presenting nearly fifteen years of college admissions and counseling experience. He has worked for large public and small private institutions, helping thousands of students along the path of college exploration. Additionally, Eric served as a college counseling intern at St. Mary’s Academy (Portland, OR), a volunteer college counselor for the organization, College Summit, and for three years worked alongside fellow Independent College Consultant, Marilyn Petrequin. He holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and has published essays, short stories, and poetry. Eric is a dedicated professional, active in the Higher Education Consultants Association, Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling, and the National Association for College Admission Counseling. He attends national and regional professional conferences, regularly visits colleges and universities across the country and attends informational programs sponsored by admissions and financial aid offices.
