Solent Powder Finishers Ltd was established in 1982 by Chairman, Godfrey Sumner. Godfrey wanted a business that would focus on people – employees, customers and suppliers. The focus of the company has always been on a strong customer care ethic and nurturing relationships – we always aim to go above and beyond our customer’s expectations. An indication of our success is that we are still trading with two of our original customers from 1982. In 2004 we began ‘total supply’ for several customers and this led to the expansion of our premises in 2007, incorporating a small machine shop, fabrication division and a larger, upgraded coating line. Godfrey has phased into retirement but the company remains in the family with his daughter, Helen as Managing Director. Helen worked alongside Godfrey for 17 years so has a well rooted understanding of the company’s core beliefs.
