The Organization We are a US-based non-profit organization founded in 1991. Who We Are We are a team of volunteers who have a heart for providing free medical services to women and children in Guatemala. We do not have paid staff, and our volunteers cover their own travel, lodging and meal expenses on our trips. Our volunteers include: - Physicians - Nurses - Medical professionals - Pharmacists - Translators - Logistics experts - And so many other great people who contribute to our amazing efforts We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to participate in our medical mission trips and to help in the US as well. How We Help We go on an annual medical mission trip to Guatemala to provide the following kinds of free services to women and children: - Surgeries - Primary care medical visits - Medications and vitamins - Orthotics and prostheses - Dental services What We Need We are always glad to receive financial donations to help defray our program costs. We also need: - Medical equipment and supplies - Medications - Wheelchairs, walkers, and other adaptive aids - Volunteers who can assist with fundraising, marketing, planning, logistics, and other activities in the US.
