The Foundation for Social Welfare Services (FSWS) was established on the 24th March 1998 and incorporates Aġenzija Appoġġ, Aġenzija Sedqa, Child Protection Directorate, Directorate Alternative Care ,Agency for Therapeutic and Community Services and FSWS Gozo. The Foundation offers prevention and treatment services, both on community and residential settings within the fields of substance abuse; children, families and communities. The Foundation for Social Welfare Services is a catalyst for change and development in the social welfare sector in Malta, consistent with the real and emerging needs of children, families and the community in order to avoid social exclusion.
