Courageous Persuaders is a high school video scholarship competition that was created to make a difference in tragic statistics related to death and underage drinking. High School students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to use their creative talents to create 30-second television commercials that stress the message of the dangers of underage drinking, while middle school classrooms judge and determine the scholarship winners. Each year, the competition launches in September, entry deadline is in February, and scholarships are presented at the annual Courageous Persuaders Awards Celebration in May. Please refer to the rules and additional information at www.CourageousPersuaders.com. Courageous Persuaders is administrated by the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, and relies on the generous support of corporate and foundation partners to continue this important and influential program. Funding Courageous Persuaders would boost our efforts to reach more and more teens about the dangers of underage drinking and drunk driving in Michigan and nationwide. You can help expose the dangers of underage drinking to high school and middle school students by making a contribution to the DADA Education Foundation. The only way Courageous Persuaders can be effective is with your voluntary support. You CAN make an impact. You CAN help students take a stand on this very serious issue of underage drinking.
