Concrete Structures AS (CS) was established in October 2010 by Kåre O. Hæreid and Knut Bidne. Together they have over 50 years of experience and unique expertise with concrete offshore projects. They have worked in this field since the Norwegian Contractors (NC) was predominant in this area. Kvaerner is currently the main contractor for the CS. The CS main office is located in Oslo and a branch office has been established in St. John's, Canada. On June 1. 2011 Kvaerner became a significant shareholder in the company, and Kvaerner will participate actively in the further development of CS. The main object for us is to manage and execute engineering services in Kvaerner offshore concrete projects. CS intends to increase the staff with emphasis on establishing a broader foundation for management and execution of offshore Concrete projects. The company has hired additional individuals with extensive experience in the industry. Together with the Office Manager, there are now 17 employees in the company.
