Bakri Chhap Agro-Tourism and Natural Products Pvt. Ltd is India’s first of its kind, integrated, multiple international award-winning Impact organization working towards rehabilitating abandoned villages & reverse-migration of marginalized farmers. Some of our acclaimed initiatives include The Goat Village (rural & sustainable tourism), Bakri Swayamwar (gene pool improvisation of livestock by social engineering), Ghasyari festival, and Bakri Chhap (a brand representing marginalized farmers). Credible & validated sources suggest we’ve influenced more than 70 times to increase in footfall (1200 persons per year to 84,000+) in a lesser known lower sub-Himalayan trek of Nag Tibba in under three years owing to our social engineering and innovative destination marketing methods, resulting into the revival of local culture, agriculture, and related pursuits. The Goat Village has been the winner of numerous hospitality, tourism, and sustainability awards for our path-breaking efforts working with the community, including the recent Gold Award at WTM London. A few of our socio-engineering concepts like ‘Pay What You Like,’ 'Be My Volunteer Village Manager,' and ‘Bakri Swayamvar’ (marriage of goats) have given us unprecedented media coverage, apart from bringing a socio-economic paradigm shift in the hinterlands of Uttarakhand. We recently organized the Ghasyari festival in Matholi village, intending to promote rural tourism and conserve tradition. We are a project implementing agency and a project support organization for rural tourism development, working with the objective of large-scale rural employment & income generation via promoting community-led projects in terms of training, packaging, branding, marketing, and value addition of Agri/forest produce to benefit the local communities through a public-private partnership.
