KNOM is a non-profit, community radio station based in Nome, Alaska. Our mission is to entertain, inspire, engage and inform our listeners across Western Alaska. We have a history rooted in the Catholic Church. At the same time, we embrace the wide diversity of religious beliefs, spiritual practices, and interfaith perspectives. We acknowledge – and celebrate – that humans find inspiration, wisdom, and God in many different ways. We broadcast weekly mass and rosary hours, and celebrate the Alaska Native culture through traditional song and dance. KNOM seeks to be a place where conversations can begin, where communities can be strengthened, and where the human spirit can be celebrated.
