Trace Thomas is an editorial, commercial, still life, and travel photographer from Lubbock, Texas. His works include environmental portraits and features for magazines, books, and commercial use. Trace is available for both domestic and international travel. Trace is a graduate from Texas Tech University with a masters degree in mass communications. Prior to that he graduated from Tech with a bachelors in public relations. While at Tech, Trace discovered his love for storytelling through visual communication. Trace shoots mostly editorial, landscape, travel, and commercial work. Locally, Trace has shot editorial pieces and advertisements for Oklahoma City publications called Territory OKC and 405 Magazine. Trace is the head photographer at the Oklahoma based marketing company Spark. He had photos published in all the major local publications in Lubbock, Texas while he was at Texas Tech. He would often shoot concerts for a local online publication in Lubbock called New Slang. Trace worked for Jerod Foster for a year as a photo assistant while in graduate school. There he learned how to manage his own business, interact with clients and subjects, and gained a better understanding of natural and studio lighting.
