Trinity College Queensland
www.trinity.qld.edu.auTrinity College Queensland is a theological institution of the Queensland Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia, located in Auchenflower, Brisbane. The college’s values, mission and ethos are governed by the vision set out in 1977 in the foundational document of the Uniting Church, the Basis of Union. Trinity College Queensland is a learning community that prepares people for interpreting, communicating and applying God’s Word to contemporary life. We do this by systematic study of the Bible and faith alongside the pursuit of honest answers to tough questions about theology, philosophy and ethics. Whether attending a formal lecture, short course or a specialised workshop at Trinity, be prepared to be challenged, informed and energised in your faith! Our undergraduate and postgraduate courses are delivered in partnership with the Adelaide College of Divinity and Flinders University. We provide an academic pathway to ordination as a Minister of the Word or deacon, and lay preacher and chaplaincy certification, all of which are governed by Uniting Church in Australia Assembly standards. At Trinity College we are committed to equipping lay and ordained people across Queensland to live out their call by offering accessible, life-long learning opportunities. These include free online introductory courses about the Bible (Trinity on Tap), short courses and workshops, the Activate program for post-secondary young people, and Continuing Education for Ministry (CEM). Our learning community is supported by the on-site Trinity Theological Library, with a collection of over 23,000 titles. Whether a seeker or a life-long Christian, we want you to have the opportunity to explore the Bible and stretch your faith. At Trinity College Queensland you can test the waters for theological study or a call to ministry, grapple with the challenges of living as a Christian in the new millennium, or dive into stimulating postgraduate study. Whatever your journey, start it at Trinity.
