Chabad of Southern Minnesota is dedicated to enhancing the physical and spiritual well being of Jews from all levels of Jewish observance, affiliation and knowledge, by providing multiple programs and services that promote true Ahavat Israel -“Love your fellow like yourself” - an unconditional love and concern for every person. Chabad-Lubavitch of Rochester is committed to promoting G‑d consciousness and morality for all mankind. Chabad provides a variety of material, spiritual, educational, and counseling services to the Greater Rochester and Southern Minnesota area. Our hospitality center caters to and serves patients who are being treated at the world famous Mayo Clinic, family members who accompany these patients and the many, transient visitors who find themselves in Rochester on business or as tourists. In 1988 the Lubavitcher Rebbe sent Rabbi David and Chanie Greene to Rochester with the goal of strengthening the Jewish life of visitors, patients and families who come to the world-famous Mayo Clinic, and to be the Chabad representatives in southern Minnesota. They established the Chabad-Lubavitch of Rochester Jewish Education & Hospitality Center as an oasis of Jewish hospitality and chassidic warmth in southern Minnesota. The Greene's have become known throughout the world for diligently living up to their motto, "For All Your Jewish Needs".
