Orange Technical College
www.orangetechcollege.netFor over 80 years, Orange County Public Schools has been making history and changing lives through education by providing career and technical training for tens of thousands of students in Central Florida. Home to five local campuses and numerous programs across district schools, Orange Technical College is training students for essential careers. In 2013, five individual campuses were merged into one institution under the moniker OCPS Tech Centers; leading to the eventual inception of Orange Technical College (OTC), established in 2016 under the leadership of the School Board of Orange County, Florida and OCPS Superintendent Dr. Barbara M. Jenkins. As a not-for-profit entity and a part of the 7th largest school district in the nation, we are held accountable to the highest standards of quality and rigor. Whether it’s signing up for a student loan, applying to college, or looking for a job straight out of high school, our counselors aim to educate prospective students as they navigate their own unique career path. With the lowest tuition rates in Central Florida, and complete acceptance of all financial aid, many students are able to graduate OTC programs debt-free. Most career certificate training programs at OTC take less than a year-and-a-half to complete, and on average, cost $5,000 or less (including all fees, books, and tuition). OTC is home to a diverse array of career certificate training programs, leading directly to an industry certification in the student’s chosen field. The variety of programs is staggering: 3- D animation, licensed practical nursing, automotive service, building construction, culinary arts, web development, machining, and more. OTC is also the largest provider of adult general education programs in Central Florida, helping thousands of foreign students learn to speak English each year in our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programs, and providing more GED training and testing than any other organization in Orlando.
