Attiki Natural Gas Distribution Company (EDA Attikis) S.A. is the natural gas operator in Attica since January 2 2017 following the legal and functional unbundling of the supply and distribution activities, as operated by EPA Attiki until December 2016. EDA Attikis’ main activities cover the operation, maintenance and expansion of the distribution network in Attica, as well as connecting Attica residents to the network in a safe and efficient way. Leveraging past experience and designing for the future, EDA Attikis’ mission is to connect every household and business based in the greater Athens area to a safe, reliable and contemporary energy distribution network. The natural gas distribution network encompasses approximately 3.400 km. of low and medium pressure pipelines, stretching to 50 municipalities in the Attica vicinity. The distribution utility delivers natural gas to approx. 60.000 service lines and 100.000 gas meters in the Attica region, thus supplying 330.000 households and 6.500 professionals. The company strives through its seamless operations to safely and reliably distribute natural gas to Attica consumers, provide contemporary and cost-effective solutions to its customers and achieve a wider expansion and sustainable development of the natural gas market.
