In a global economy, our metropolitan region is in competition with every other metropolitan region on earth. The smarter we plan for the future, the smarter our communities will be. Metroplan’s role in this effort is to provide a regional forum for solving common problems and seizing common opportunities. Metroplan serves the core of central Arkansas – with an emphasis on Pulaski, Faulkner, Saline, and Lonoke counties. Metroplan is also the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization responsible for the transportation planning process in central Arkansas under federal law.
