An undying passion for Indian textiles, its heritage & culture, and a beautiful heart that beats for the betterment of her weavers, Vidhi Singhania is known for her aesthetic and dexterous detailing of the rich, textured Kota & Benaras weaves and her couture emanates elegance, grandeur & quality. With all her designs named after the weavers’ wives and their daughters, Vidhi Singhania, strives to protect, promote and propagate India’s handloom sector. It was over two decades ago that she by default, started working with the Kota karigars. With there being limited stores to shop from, her inner aesthetics and interpretations, combined with the artisans’ skills and ability to translate her ideas on the fabric, together gave birth to the artistic Kota. After working with the weavers in Kota, she extended her work to Varanasi - the Mecca of weaving, allowing her to work with Kataan Silks, Satins, Gheecha, Koras, Organzas and Georgettes. Her intricate work makes each piece an heirloom that ought to be passed down generations. A recipient of the International Women’s Entrepreneurial (IWEC) Awards 2008, bestowed by Indian Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI-FLO) & Manhattan Chamber of Commerce (MCC), in 2016, Vidhi Singhania received The Sunday Standard Devi Award 2016 & the CNBC - TV18’s True Legends Award 2016, for her unconditional and unparalleled endeavors in the revival, protection & conservation of India’s Art & Heritage. A veteran member of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), her flagship store in GK-II, New Delhi, promises an exceptionally rare collection of lavish weaves, ensembles & accessories.
