The Department of Development and Investment Promotion of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (SDPI) has the mission of leading the state to a sustainable development, boosting traditional economic sectors, attracting new investments, densifying production chains and overcoming regional inequalities. Based on an active policy of investment attraction, the SDPI coordinates the action of key actors of the state executive power related to the subject development. As Coordinator of the Economic Development System of Rio Grande do Sul State, the SDPI has as its executive arm the State Agency of Development and Investment Promotion (AGDI), and operates together with the development banks, Badesul and Regional Bank of Economic and Social Development (BRDE), besides counting on Banrisul bank. The actions are coordinated in a transversal way with the other State Departments of the government.
