Our publishing house stepped into the publishing industry as a small bookstore in Ankara in 1959 and has become one of the prominent bookstores in Ankara over time. Since 1970, it turned step by step into a publishing company by starting to publish books on law and tax and in the 1980s it became the largest publishing house in Turkey in law publishing. By the 1990s, it started to increase its effectiveness in other professional fields with the titles published in economics, business, accounting, engineering, computer and linguistics, as well as law. In the 2000s, it became one of the leading publishing houses in academic and professional publishing field in Turkey. In 1994 with the distribution department established, beside his own titles, it started to distribute all over Turkey the books of many publishers who specialized in the academic and professional fields. Seckin Publishing Inc. opened its second bookstore in Ankara in 1999 and its Istanbul bookstore in 2001. Currently, it offers its readers a pleasant shopping environment with 2 bookstores in Ankara and 3 bookstores in Istanbul which are completely specialized in professional books. Our publishing house, which opened Turkey's first online bookstore in 1996, closely follows the technological developments, constantly renews its website, and has a comprehensive range of books on academic and professional books. Our publishing house started to publish its first law journal in 2002, and over time, with the participation of university journals it has undertaken the publication of nearly 20 journals. Since 2017, it has established the 'Jurix Law Journals Database' into service and has offered nearly 60 law journals to the readers' access over the internet.
