The Silva e Sousa & Irmaos, Lda also known as Filipe Shoes is a company of long tradition in the footwear industry, founded in 1979 and currently being managed by the third generation of the family. Keeping the origins, the company specializes in the development and production of leather footwear for brands, distributors, international groups and retail chains present in 25 countries and 4 continents, especially in the following types of shoes construction: moccasin, assembled and stroble. The Filipe Shoes production is mainly targeted to the women segment, with a weight of 85% of sales, while the remaining 15% is nowadays divided between the man shoes and children shoes. The company headquartered is located in the Zona Industrial de Sanguêdo, County of Santa Maria da Feira and inserted into a region of great tradition at European level in the development and manufacture of footwear. The company has available a covered area of 3.500m2 and is constituted by 100 employees, with a production capacity of about 2,000 pairs of shoes per day. Equipped with the most modern technologies and having an internal modelling team, Filipe Shoes is able to meet the today’s demands, producing with high quality and at a competitive price, respecting always the specificity of each of its partners and customers, the same principles that were at the origin of our company so many years ago.
