The Northern Star has served Northern Illinois University and the DeKalb area since 1899. The news media organization is operated and managed by NIU students. The Northern Star posts new content daily to northernstar.info and social media, and publishes a newsletter two times a week. It is the best place for NIU students who are interested in gaining more experience in a journalism or communications career, or any student who wants to share content to the community.
