Sherborne Turf
www.sherborneturf.co.ukSherborne Turf was established in 1972 and what started as a family business supplying the local area with turf, has grown steadily to encompass all aspects of gardening, while maintaining its traditional values. With offices located in the picturesque village of Trent in Dorset, our turf is grown in high quality farmland, part of which forms part of The Trent Estate, owned by the Ernest Cook Trust. The Estate is managed under schemes which help to safeguard the environment, and in keeping with this, our turf is grown without the help of netting, using a unique blend of grasses that will knit together to form a firm base. The turf is cut to order and delivered using our own vehicles and drivers experienced in the handling of turf and associated products. Supplying only the local area (within a 50 mile radius of Sherborne), low 'turf-miles' mean our product is green in more ways than one. In January 2000, Queen Thorne Landscapes was established as part of the Sherborne Turf brand, and in 2002 was awarded the RHS Silver Gilt for its entry at Chelsea Flower Show. As part of Sherborne Turf's ongoing desire to provide a complete service for its customers, the supply of ameliorants was gradually introduced to the portfolio, and the full range of products now includes everything from topsoil to compost, mulch to dressing, as well as fertiliser, seed, irrigation equipment, and landscape accessories.
