Emmaus Merseyside is an award-winning charity that offers a home and meaningful work to formerly homeless people. We have a purpose built community building in Seaforth, Sefton with space for up to 28 people (known as companions). Each companion works in our social enterprise and receives support to enable them to move-on to live independently. Emmaus Merseyside runs three charity stores across Sefton and Liverpool. Our main superstore, a large, former joinery workshop, sells good quality second-hand furniture, household goods, electrical appliances and other items. All of the money generated from our social enterprises is re-invested to support formerly homeless people living at our community building.
