The Elgin Math and Science Academy Charter School (EMSA) is a decade-long dream of community members to open a K-8 school that brings science and math to life for students in Elgin, Illinois and surrounding communities. Our mission is for students and teachers to reach their highest potential through active exploratory learning and social responsibility. Partnered with EL Education (eleducation.org), EMSA opened and welcomed our first students on August 15, 2018 - expanding the idea of what deeper learning can look like.
