NY CREATES continues the long-standing leadership by New York state to provide an invigorating environment for high technology industries – which has enabled the establishment of the IBM AI Hardware Center, TEL Technology Center America, Applied Materials’ META Center, Danfoss’s power electronics packaging facility, CREE Wolfspeed’s new 200mm SiC fab, and GlobalFoundries’ flagship fab at Malta, NY, among others. NY CREATES’ high technology infrastructure includes a 300 mm wafer fab complex at Albany that represents $15B of capital investment by government and commercial entities over nearly three decades. The Test, Assembly and Packaging facility at Rochester, NY is now working with customers on electronic and photonic device packaging, including those for quantum computing.
