The Lord Reading Law Society serves as the collective voice of Jewish jurists in Quebec. For the past 73 years, we have spoken out against discrimination - particularly when access to justice and other fundamental rights were threatened. Our mission is rooted in Jewish traditions and values, such as Tikkun Olam (or “repairing the world”), and we aim to serve the legal community, the Jewish community, and the community at large. In addition to our defence of human rights, the Lord Reading Law Society is known for its dinners, which feature distinguished guest speakers from the bench, the bar and the worlds of business and politics. Our dinners have become an integral part of the Montreal legal community's calendar. Our events are fun. They offer excellent networking opportunities and a unique camaraderie, unlike any other lawyers' group ... plus they qualify for Continuing Legal Education credits!
