An African inspired eco friendly footwear brand established in Rwanda since 2013 with a mission to craft viable solutions using steady tech and soft skills to educate vulnerable urban communities on ways and techniques to recycle wastes especially old car tires. We aim to create entrepreneurship opportunities among the youths with a focal point on women. So far we have trained 1060 people through skills and employment in Rwanda among which 70% are women. In 2018 UZURI was awarded the best Made in Rwanda enterprise of the year and in 2019 we are among top 10 companies creating change across Africa.
