MARTA Army, Inc. ([The] MARTA Army) is a 501(c)(3) independent, grassroots action group committed to enhancing the ridership experience on public transit in Metro Atlanta. MARTA Army empowers local residents throughout the Atlanta Region to improve their transit ridership experience in their own neighborhoods. MARTA Army meets basic rider needs through tactical urbanism, organizes volunteers to assist MARTA for special events or emergencies, recognizes and supports transit operators for their hard work, shares stories of how riders experience transit, and teaches everyday people how to advocate for the transit experience they want in their communities.
