BookVa Films is an independent film production company of original content, aiming to create exposure and work opportunities for emerging filmmakers. Our doors are open to all artists, regardless of origin, nationality, sexual orientation, age or disability. We are exceptionally passionate about creating opportunities for female filmmakers to explore the stories that matter to them most. The origin of our name comes from the Bulgarian word "буква", meaning "letter, character, symbol of the alphabet". It is also a cinematographic term addressing the set up for a new angle of the scene one is currently filming. It represents our mission: to produce original stories, offering a different perspective.
