El Instituto Nacional de Investigación Geológico Minero Metalúrgico (INIGEMM) es una institución joven que se crea con Ley de Minería en el año 2009. Actualmente, es una entidad adscrita al Ministerio de Minería y tiene como misión generar, sistematizar y administrar la información científica y tecnológica: geológico-minera-metalúrgica a nivel nacional. The National Institute for Metallurgical, Mining and Geological Research (INIGEMM) is a young institute that was created under the Mining Law in 2009. Currently, it is an entity that is part of the Minister of Mining. Its mission is to generate, systematize and manage scientific and technological information: geological-mining and metallurgical in a national level in order to help in the land planning towards a sustainable development of mineral resources and to contribute to the preventive management of geological hazards.
