Anthropocene Projects
www.anthropoceneprojects.co.ukOur cross-disciplinary, collaborative projects are intended to build climate literacy for those involved in the built environment. We facilitate workshops and provide consultancy services that promote understanding of the climate crisis, we work to highlight our personal and professional impact, then facilitate behavioural changes that will help create a more regenerative built environment. We firmly believe the construction industry can transition from being an extractive, polluter to a regenerative store of our cultural and material heritage. Buildings and infrastructure are vital in protecting and enriching our lives but cannot continue to be built, operated and demolished in the current manner. As a Community Interest Company (C.I.C.), we are legally a social enterprise and must use our assets and profits for the benefit of our community. We are not a charity but have a philanthropic approach to our work. The fees for our services go towards our running costs, research and development to benefit the community, not to build private fortunes. We believe in fair employment practices and embodying the principles we wish to see in the world. Our intention is to produce the resources our industry needs, making as much as possible free and open-source to enable rapid uptake and use at scale unrestricted by geography, wealth or status.
