Being established in 1950, China Southwest Architecture Design and Research Institute Corp.Ltd, one of the large-scale, Grade-A and comprehensive architectural design institutes, is founded among the earliest in the same industry in China. It is subordinated to one of the Fortune Global 500--China State Construction Engineering Corporation. The institute has fulfilled almost 10 thousand design tasks during the 50 years or more since it was founded, which extend all over China and 10 other countries and regions . Boasting independent and foreign related operating authority, it has been awarded by Asia Institute of Architectures as one of “China's Top 10 Architectural Design Firms” for the successive three years since 2004. Moreover, it has been awarded as “one of the best 100 national Reconnaissance Design Corporation”. At present, there are more than 1,000 professional and technical personnel in the institute, including over 40 senior architects and engineers with the rank of professor, over 200 senior architects and engineers, over 200 national 1st grade registered architects, structural engineers, cost plan engineers, facilities engineers and electrical engineers; 4 national engineering design masters,1 national expert with great contribution in middle and young age, 1 expert with great contribution in middle and young age awarded by ministry of construction, 2 provincial expert with great contribution in middle and young age, 2 provincial academic and technical experts, 21 experts who get special allowance from government and 16 provincial engineering design masters.
