During my 20-year career as a soccer coach, I experienced how skilled leaders and healthy team culture impacts the success of a group. As a result, my teams often became a research and design lab as I used experiential learning to develop my student-athletes as people. I launched a leadership academy, wrote curriculum, developed a leadership self-assessment, created a service-learning program, and mentored young leaders. It became clear to me that investing in people mattered, so I made the decision to leave college athletics to pursue a wider audience. I now work with educators, corporate groups, and athletic teams by providing leadership development, team and corporate team building, custom workshops, and personality assessments including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. My work in experiential learning is centered around experiencing lightbulb moments in leadership development, personal growth, and professional development. Lightbulb moments are transformative and significantly impact individuals and teams. My hope is that I won’t simply speak to a group, lead team building games, or facilitate corporate team building but rather that I will provide an experience for all participants.
