Because of Hope (BOH) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to sustainably empower widows and orphans in Uganda. We work with 83 families, and most are led by single-mothers. By creating empowerment based programs in Uganda, we provide these women and their families with sustainable opportunities to overcome poverty and thrive. We are based in Santa Barbara, CA, and work in three villages outside of Jinja, Uganda.
