SLAKE is a nonprofit organization founded in 2019 to facilitate scientific and educational collaborations between the US and Sri Lanka. Mission: Facilitate the transfer of knowledge between the States and Sri Lanka in order to help provide scientific evidence-based solutions and innovations addressing Sri Lanka's STEM-M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medical) related challenges. Vision: We envision a platform where fellow students, professors, researchers, scholars, and organizations in Sri Lanka and the U.S. can virtually connect, share opportunities, and contribute professional ideas to help mitigate the impact of brain drain, spark cross-country connections, and stimulate collaborations.
