Water and wastewater assets in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are worth more than $30 billion. The GTSWCA is committed to the maintenance and expansion of this core infrastructure to ensure a plentiful supply of clean water and the preservation of our lakes and rivers. GTA health and environment are dependent upon the effective management of water and wastewater services and continued investment in clean water infrastructure. The Greater Toronto Sewer and Watermain Contractors Association (GTSWCA) has been representing sewer and watermain construction contractors in the Greater Toronto Area (Halton, Peel, York and Durham Regions and the City of Toronto) for more than 60 years, and currently serves over 200 member companies. Our goals extend far beyond lobbying for increased funding. Our concerns include labour relations, water systems management and legislation, the environment, health and safety, security, contract terms, engineering, and many other issues relevant to the sewer and watermain construction industry.
