Hobarts has been around in various different guises since 1989. Initially, operating in the City of London and working for the Government and in 1996 the business moved to Kent and set up its acrylic manufacturing operation. In the summer of 2000, the company started selling lasers and have steadily gained a reputation for supplying good quality, reliable equipment to education and industry. Our philosophy is to provide the best machinery backed up with first class training and excellent after-sales support. We are well known for having the best trained technicians in the business. Machinery Hobarts sell advanced machinery to education, industry and government. Our industrial clients include truly global companies and government installations such as AWE and the UK Home Office. Lasers We are the UK’s leading distributor of Universal Laser Systems lasers with around 600 systems installed and supported throughout the UK. 3D printing We sell 3D printers such as the UP!2 and more recently added the Pegasus SLA and Phoenix DLP range to our portfolio. Extraction Working with our partner BOFA International, we havea range of truly world class fume extraction systems, with all our main systems supplied with VOC monitoring equipment. Materials Hobarts ships out tons of laser-friendly materials every week to every conceivable education and industry sector. Standard materials Our range of standard materials for laser processing continues to grow. We ensure that all wood products come from sustainable resources and we always try to favour UK manufactured products. Manufacturing Hobarts started its manufacturing operation in 1995 and continues to manufacture acrylic sheet and blocks for laser processing and acrylic products for many industrial sectors.
