Based in Gersthofen, Germany, the company develops, produces and markets GSP® - a standardised construction element to install future-oriented glass sandwich façades quickly and easily. GSP® is a factory-made sandwich panel with a permanently bonded heat strengthened glass facia. Wall and insulation are provided by the sandwich panel with a core made from polyurethane or mineral wool. A 6 mm thick pane of heat-strengthened glass, which is bonded on the sandwich panel, forms the visible glass surface. iconic skin has received the general building inspectorate approval (abZ) for GSP® from Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik. Thus, GSP® is the first approved construction product consisting of a serial sandwich panel with structurally bonded glass pane without mechanical retainer and without glass support. iconic skin provides consulting services for architects, engineers, specialist consultants and building owners, and works together with international system partners.
