Christian Service University College is devoted to excellence in teaching, learning and research and to developing leaders in many disciplines who make a difference globally. The University, which is based in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Kumasi, has graduated over 5,000 degree candidates, including undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. The history of the University College cannot be complete without the mention of the role that the friends of the College have played right from the inception of the College to date. Apart from students’ fees, the bulk of the finances of the College in the early stages was contributed by the friends of the College. These men and women committed themselves to pray for and make regular donations to help meet the running costs of the University College’s day to day expenses. Since the College is not sponsored by any Christian mission or agency or organisation within or outside the country, the contributions of the Friends’ of the College were vital for the financial survival of the College in the early stages. Though, their numbers have not been large, they have been faithful in their commitment to the Lord and to the University College.
