Great River Rescue is a private, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1977 in Bemidji, Minnesota. We take-in, care-for, and find homes for companion dogs and cats. Every animal is treated with respect and care while we work to find them new homes. We also strive to educate the public about responsible pet care and provide resources regarding animal issues. Mission Great River Rescue transitions dogs and cats to loving homes, serves as a community resource, and advocates for kind, responsible pet care.
