Opened in 1995 as an art house company, CinemArt became the biggest film distributor (2014, 2015, 2016) in the Czech Republic when it shifted strategy under new management. CinemArt represents three Hollywood studios (Twentieth Century Fox, Universal and Paramount Pictures) in Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as selected films of independent and local Czech producers. CinemArt has been also traditionally active in co-producing of different Czech films including Oscar winning Kolja from Jan Svěrák.
